One of the nice things about this Arts Guild is that all the members live in the same little community, a small island in the very northern part of the coast of British Columbia. Rainforest country. Living the simple life, being self reliant, we all try to be in tune with mother nature, inasmuch as modern life permits that. We have those qualities in common. That's not to say we're all the same kind of people, by any means. Being islanders, each and everyone here is rather stubbornly individualistic, which is somewhat difficult at times, but where it pertains to artistic expression one might regard it as an asset.
